二手舍京都では、2026年4月から5月にかけて「Photography Month」を開催し、写真を主題としたプログラムを展開します。本企画は、インディペンデント出版、復刻版、アーティストによる限定手製本という三つの視点から構成されています。

会期を通じて、『Provoke』の初版および復刻版を展示し、その制作過程を追ったドキュメンタリー映像 (15分) を上映します。 また、4月にはフランスの写真集レーベル La Maison de Z による、10年にわたる出版活動を紹介する回顧展示を行います。

5月には、スペイン出身の写真家Carlos Barrantesによる手製本の限定アーティストブック『Temples』を紹介し、古典的なフォトグラヴュール技法による作品も含まれます。

本企画を通して、フォトブックをひとつの表現言語として捉える機会となれば幸いです。




This April and May, NITESHA KYOTO presents Photography Month, a program dedicated to photography. Bringing together three perspectives: independent publishing, facsimile editions, and limited handmade artist books ー the program explores the relationship between photographic expression and publishing.

Throughout the two months, both the original and facsimile editions of Provoke are showcased, accompanied by a documentary short film (15 mins) tracing its reproduction process.

In April, the program features a retrospective of ten years of publishing by the French photobook label La Maison de Z.

In May, a limited handmade artist book, Temples, by Spanish photographer Carlos Barrantes is presented, including works created using the classical photogravure technique.

Photography Month at NITESHA Kyoto offers an opportunity to consider the photobook as a language of expression in its own right.
