This memorial book was published to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Reverso, a signature watch created in 1931 for polo matches by Jaeger-LeCoultre, a historic Swiss watch manufacturer founded in 1833. It traces the history of this simple yet beautiful Art Deco wristwatch, drawing on archival photographs and historical documents, and featuring texts from historians, journalists, and watch experts. The book boasts a luxurious design with a striking box cut out in the shape of a watch.

マチュー・ブレイジーがクリエイティブディレクターを務めていた2024年冬のコレクションに合わせて制作されたボッテガ・べネタのファンジン・ボックス。全5冊のブックには世界的なフォトエージェンシー「マグナム」のメンバーであるフォトグラファー、アレック・ソスの撮影したキャンペーンビジュアルをまとめた一冊のほか、ソス撮影の舞台裏で一冊、そして建築家ル・コルビュジエのミニマムなスツールを再解釈した「LC14 Tabouret Cabanonを用いて、ミラノデザインウィークで披露したインスタレーション「On the Rocks」の記録集、フォトグラファーのヴィタウタス・クムザとのコラボレーションブック、ジュディ・ボウマンによるコラージュ作品集などが収納されている。当時、世界中のボッテガ・ヴェネタのストアにて、数量限定で配布されたもの。ファッションブランドらしい非常に豪華な造り。

This Bottega Veneta fanzine box was created to coincide with the Winter 2024 collection, when Matthieu Blazy was the creative director. The five books include one compiling campaign visuals shot by photographer Alec Soth, a member of the world-renowned photo agency Magnum, another featuring behind-the-scenes footage of Soth's shoot, a record of the "On the Rocks" installation presented at Milan Design Week using the LC14 Tabouret Cabanon, a reinterpretation of architect Le Corbusier's minimalist stool, a collaboration book with photographer Vytautas Kumza, and a collection of collage works by Judy Bowman. It was distributed in limited quantities at Bottega Veneta stores worldwide at the time. The box is made in a very luxurious style, befitting a fashion brand.

[Pre-Order Now] Pour the water and let it fall is a collage of photographs and text, using water as a metaphor for human relationships. Water takes shape when it is held within a vessel; when it overflows, its outline dissolves and it moves in all directions. In this work, images of trees and shifting forms in nature are placed alongside fragments of AI-generated responses to events from a past relationship with a child. Without explanation or definition, the work traces relationships whose boundaries remain undefined. The cover is constructed from a single sheet of paper that folds and coils like an ammonite. Throughout the book, photographs and text recur, appearing and disappearing, allowing memories of relationships to circulate through these layers. Water that spills and loses form does not disappear. Like the wind, it continues in motion; over time, it nourishes the ground and gives rise to a new landscape. *The book is scheduled for publication and shipment in July. 写真家・森山大道とアートディレクター・町口覚とのコラボレーションによって毎年書籍をプロデュースしていく「M×M」レーベルからの一冊。森山大道が世界の舞台に向けて歩み出す契機となった1999年のサンフランシスコ近代美術館での記念碑的展覧会「Daido Moriyama: Stray Dog」でスライド上映された140点のフィルムが四半世紀を経て発見された。本書は再度森山自身が自作を選び直し複写したオリジナルのスライドフィルムが収められている。表紙は三沢の犬が右側のエディション(だがなぜかスリップケースは左用)。

This book is from the "MXM" label, which annually produces books through a collaboration between photographer Daido Moriyama and art director Satoshi Machiguchi. A quarter of a century later, 140 films that were projected as slides at the monumental 1999 exhibition "Daido Moriyama: Stray Dog" at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art—an exhibition that marked Moriyama's entry into the world stage—have been rediscovered. This book contains the original slide films, re-selected and copied by Moriyama himself. The cover features a dog from Misawa, representing the right edition (but for some reason, the slipcase is for the left edition).

This collection of portraits by Richard Avedon (1923-2004), a fashion photographer and accomplished portraitist, begins with a childhood selfie, then moves on to a diverse range of subjects, including Andy Warhol and members of the Factory, Truman Capote, Jean Genet, and Buckminster Fuller, as well as fellow photographer Robert Frank, and concludes with a portrait of his own father. Lore Stessel is an artist who explores the intersection of photography and painting. She forms her images through a unique analog printing process in a darkroom, where she first applies a photosensitive emulsion to the canvas and then applies developing solution to specific areas. The conscious acceptance of chance and the unexpected in her creative process likely contributes to the distinctive texture of her work, which transcends any particular era. The book is published by Cairo Apartment, a collaboration between designer Seiko Morikawa and artist Jun Iwasaki. The hardcover book features a paper-covered, top-and-bottom binding, foil stamping on the cover and spine (blind embossing on the spine), and ivory-colored headbands, resulting in a sophisticated, Western-style book.

編者は志摩徹郎との表記だが、これはモダニズムの建築家でも名高く、逓信建築の先駆者でもある吉田鉄郎(1894-1956)のこと。彼が手がけた建築物としては、東京・丸の内の東京中央郵便局(現KITTE丸の内)や京都の京都中央電話局(現新風館)がよく知られている。本書ではB氏住宅とB氏山荘の二箇所の住宅を写真によって収めているが、このB氏とは富山県の豪商・馬場家のことで、東京牛込の別邸と那須の山荘を指している。現在牛込の別邸は重要文化財として登録されており、容易に中の様子は見ることができず、また那須山荘は現存していないことから、1929年竣工の両住宅の面影を本書によって見ることができるのは大変貴重だと言える。収録写真も網点の見えないコロタイプによる高精細印刷技法を用いており、写真の質感も美しい。

The editor is credited as Shima Tetsuro, but this refers to Yoshida Tetsuro (1894-1956), a renowned modernist architect and pioneer of postal service architecture. Among his well-known works are the Tokyo Central Post Office (now KITTE Marunouchi) in Marunouchi, Tokyo, and the Kyoto Central Telephone Exchange (now Shinpukan) in Kyoto. This book contains photographs of two residences, Mr. B's Residence and Mr. B's Mountain Villa. Mr. B refers to the Baba family, wealthy merchants from Toyama Prefecture, and the residences are their villa in Ushigome, Tokyo, and their mountain villa in Nasu. Currently, the Ushigome villa is registered as an important cultural property and its interior is not easily accessible, and the Nasu villa no longer exists. Therefore, being able to see the remnants of both homes, completed in 1929, through this book is extremely valuable. The photographs are printed using a high-definition collotype printing technique that does not show halftone dots, resulting in beautiful images and textures.

過去には写真家・白川義員との作品を巡っての訴訟など、風刺やパロディ作品で物議を醸したマッド・アマノの私家版作品集。西洋絵画をモチーフとした作品から始まり、写真や雑誌などからのコラージュ作品、ドローイング、そしてヌード作品まで全4章の構成。2025年に当店に入荷し、その年の東京アートブックフェアに出品中、表紙のインパクトもあってか沢山の方に手に取っていただくも売れず、その後、京都店へと在庫移動したのち、無惨にも表紙が外れて東京店へとご帰還となった。

This is a privately published collection of works by Mad Amano, an artist who has previously caused controversy with his satirical and parody works, including a lawsuit with photographer Yoshikazu Shirakawa over his work. The collection is divided into four chapters, starting with works inspired by Western paintings, and continuing with collages from photographs and magazines, drawings, and nudes. It arrived at our store in 2025 and was exhibited at the Tokyo Art Book Fair that year. Despite being picked up by many people, perhaps due to the impactful cover, it did not sell. After being moved to our Kyoto store, it sadly returned to our Tokyo store with its cover detached.

1974年からの二年間、東松照明を主宰として細江英公、荒木経惟、森山大道、深瀬昌久、横須賀功光が講師を務めた写真学校ワークショップ。瀧澤脩は当時、森山大道教室を受講した生徒だった。森山大道教室の卒業生はその後、新宿に自主ギャラリーとしてイメージショップCAMPを始めることになる。本書は瀧澤が撮影した1969年から1979年の写真をまとめた集大成としての写真集。ハイコントラストのモノクロームフォトに裁ち落としのレイアウトはいかにも森山門下だが、同時に1970年代のアンダーグラウンドな雰囲気も漂う。献呈サインは当時同じく森山教室卒業生でありCAMPメンバーの倉田精二に宛て、場所はオタクやマニアが集った伝説の喫茶店カトレア。ここで彼らは何を語り合っていたのだろうか。 私の女 この写真集に登場する花子(かこ)サンを旗頭に イモリ・蝦蟇・エイ・海龜・鼠・蝸牛と続く動物達 又生き物各々が飲み尽くした後の風景に次ぐ風景は 私の夢の髄の全貌です。 さてこの本を枕に大海原に新たな夢を見に行こうか。 夢の中で髄は私を孕んで元気に変態してゆく。(本文巻末より)

For two years starting in 1974, a photography school workshop was held under the direction of Shomei Tomatsu, with Eikoh Hosoe, Nobuyoshi Araki, Daido Moriyama, Masahisa Fukase, and Noriaki Yokosuka serving as instructors. Osamu Takizawa was a student of Daido Moriyama's class at the time. Graduates of Moriyama's class would later start Image Shop CAMP as an independent gallery in Shinjuku. This book is a compilation of photographs taken by Takizawa from 1969 to 1979. The high-contrast monochrome photographs and bleed layout are typical of Moriyama's school, but at the same time, they exude the underground atmosphere of the 1970s. The dedication signature is addressed to Seiji Kurata, also a graduate of Moriyama's class and a member of CAMP at the time, and the location was Cattleya, a legendary coffee shop where geeks and enthusiasts gathered. 前作『東京昭和十一年』の四年後、桑原甲子雄(1913-2007)はアマチュア写真家として、満州へと出かけることになった。当時、満州の交通網を握っていた南満州鉄道の広報課が主催として、カメラ雑誌の推薦から選ばれた5、6人が昭和15年(1940)の6月、四週間の旅程だった。満州撮影隊は二班に分かれ、奉天、新京、吉林、ハルピン、スンガリー、寧安などを訪れたそうだが、桑原は濱谷浩(1915-1999)と道中を共にしていたらしい。

Four years after his previous work, "Tokyo Showa 11," Koshio Kuwahara (1913-2007), as an amateur photographer, traveled to Manchuria. The South Manchuria Railway's public relations department, which controlled Manchuria's transportation network at the time, organized a four-week trip in June 1940 for five or six people selected from recommendations by camera magazines. The Manchurian photography team was divided into two groups and visited places such as Fengtian, Xinjing, Jilin, Harbin, Sungari, and Ning'an, and it seems that Kuwahara traveled with Hiroshi Hamaya (1915-1999).

武蔵野美術大学彫刻科を卒業制作によって主席で卒業。粘土に指を押し付けながら窪みを形成し、ここに石膏を流し込んで作品化する、西尾康之の「陰刻鋳造」は自らの手法を探している最中に、運よく現出したそう。本書では「セイラ・マス」、「ミンスク」などの大型彫刻作品のほかに、油彩や墨絵なども収録。巻末に付された「陰刻鋳造」の解説写真・図によって、いかに彼が独自な制作方法をしているかがより理解できる。サインあり。

Yasuyuki Nishio graduated at the top of his class from the Sculpture Department of Musashino Art University with his graduation project. His "incandescent casting" technique, in which he creates depressions in clay by pressing his fingers into it and then pours plaster into these depressions to create his works, apparently came about by chance while he was searching for his own method. In addition to large sculptures such as "Sayla Mass" and "Minsk," this book also includes oil paintings and ink paintings.
