Imagination plays an important role in childhood. People make things happen by believing in something. This may be alluded to in Nantes, France-based photographer Aela Labbe's series L'ABSENTE. Labe describes the series as "a hymn to absence in every sense of the word. What is missing, what is lost, what is lost, or simply what is invisible, out of sight. But it is It's also associated with a sense of freedom, a doorway out of the mundane." Children can become engrossed in their own imaginary worlds, which are invisible to those who do not share and collaborate with them. Her photographs clearly represent this fairytale world. Published by the Scandinavian publishing label Editions du LIC.
