John Derian, a New York decoupage artist, first discovered his creative fountainhead in 1983 when he stumbled across a box of 19th-century books at a flea market in Salem, Massachusetts. Inside were two stunning, vibrantly colored prints that piqued his curiosity. This sparked a lifelong search for hand-colored prints of flowers and fruits, lithographs of animals, unique paintings, centuries-old calligraphy, and beautiful keepsakes. John Derian's creations are simple yet timeless, like paperweights, glass dishes, trays, and plates. This book is a carefully selected collection of 300 of Derian's favorite objects from over 30 years of work. The foreword is by Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of American Vogue.
