Seiichi Furuya is a photographer born in Nishiizu, Shizuoka Prefecture in 1950. He moved to Europe in 1973 and worked mainly in Austria. He then moved to Graz, where he met his wife, Christine Gessler, in 1978. However, on October 7, 1985, East German National Day, Christine suddenly jumped from her apartment and committed suicide. This book was published in connection with an exhibition held at the Vangi Sculpture Garden Museum in 2007. It can be considered the final chapter of Christine's work, and includes many unpublished works.
