Ari Marcopoulos is a Dutch photographer. After moving to New York in 1979, he helped Andy Warhol (1928-1987) with printing his photographs. He quickly became involved in the art and music scenes of the time, while also actively turning his camera to the streets of New York. In the early 1990s, he began to focus on young people skateboarding on the streets of downtown New York. This book is a radical yet cleverly edited monograph that combines his own photographs of friends and acquaintances with large-format photographs of snow-capped mountains. Signed and dedicate to the book.
