Wolfgang Tillmans was born in Germany in 1968. He studied at the Bournemouth and Poole School of Art and Design in the early 1990s and has since continued to present his work in major exhibitions around the world. In 2000 he won the British Turner Prize, the most prestigious award given to a contemporary artist. He is currently based in London. This book is a catalog published in conjunction with an exhibition in Germany in 2008. Includes "Lighter," a series of non-camera works that broke new ground for him.
