In 1972, Keiichi Tahara (1951–2017) traveled to France as a lighting technician for a small theater troupe and remained in Paris after the performances concluded. Aspiring to become a photographer, he achieved international acclaim just five years later—at the age of 26—when he won the Grand Prix at the Rencontres d’Arles International Photography Festival for his "Window" series, captured from the window of his own apartment. This book compiles his work from a ten-year period, featuring the aforementioned "Window" series as well as his "Eclat" series—a collection defined by the interplay of light and shadow within his Parisian home. The copy includes a signed dedication. Also included as a bonus are a 2004 newspaper clipping from the *Nihon Keizai Shimbun*; a set of materials from a 1985 solo exhibition at Laforet Museum Akasaka (no longer in existence), including an invitation, a pamphlet, and a postcard; and a flyer for another solo exhibition held that same year at the WAVE complex in Roppongi.
