After "
Farewell Photography" released in 1972, Daido Moriyama was at a loss because of the lack of reality in photography. At that time, what emerged was the land of Hokkaido, which he had longed for since he was a child, and the existence of Kenzo Tamoto (1832-1912) and a northern photographer. At that time, I was introduced to the company dormitory of my acquaintance's parents' house, and I started living in Hokkaido for only three months. At that time, he said that of the 300 films he shot, only a small part of the photographs for the "Asahi Camera" that he had been paid for were released. Other than that, I could only see it on the negative, and after that I slept on the bottom of the cardboard box. This book contains carefully selected photographs from them again for the first time in 30 years. A masterpiece volume that weighs over 5 kg.
