Chan Wai Kwong is a Hong Kong-born photographer. He enrolled at the Hong Kong New Law College in 1988 but dropped out the following year. Since 2010, he has been exhibiting his work as a solo artist and publishing photo books. In 2012, he received the WYNG Special Photography Award for his photographs on poverty. His basic photography style involves strolling around the rapidly changing streets of Hong Kong and taking snapshots. He produces his own photo books each time and earns his living by selling them. He has no concept of out-of-print. Therefore, the paper quality and color tone vary intriguingly depending on the year of production. This book contains photographs taken in Mong Kok, a bustling shopping district located in the center of Hong Kong's Kowloon Peninsula. The vertical format, which is unusual for photo books, creates a visually peculiar impression on the reader. The tape-covered design is also innovative. Signed.
