There used to be a profession called a photo studio. One set of 3 pieces for 200 yen. Take a picture, make a print, and deliver it the next day. That was the starting point for photographer Katsumi Watanabe (1941-2006). Prostitutes, yakuza, tranny, nude girls, thugs, hostesses, drunkards, runaway boys, etc. They were customers of Watanabe, and it was a life of a photographer who crawls around Shinjuku at night and continues to shoot them.
