Portuguese director Pedro Costa's second film, "Casa de Lava" (House of Lava). At the time, he was 35 years old and visited the Republic of Cabo Verde, where he compiled the ideas and images he had come up with during the production process into a scrapbook rather than a screenplay. This book reproduces every page of the scrapbook, which is also the source of his creativity, with meticulous copying. The attached document contains the director's words, compiled from an interview.
