This is a collection of works by Hiroshi Sugimoto, who is more worthy of being called a contemporary artist who uses photography than a photographer. It includes "Dioramas," which are realistic reproductions of dioramas; "Theaters," which were shot in movie theaters with the shutters open only during the duration of the screening; and "Seascapes," which are shot with the horizon at the center and the sky and sea evenly spaced above and below. These three series have been particularly well-received overseas.
