In the history of photography, which spans more than 100 years, color photography is said to have finally reached maturity as an art form in the late 1960s. This book is a catalog produced to accompany the exhibition "The New Color: A Decade of Color Photography," curated by Sally Auclair at the ICP (International Center of Photography) in New York in 1981. It systematically surveys and compares the works of about 40 photographers, including William Eggleston, Joel Meyerowitz, Stephen Shore, and others who were part of the new trend in color photography known as the "New Color." It includes biographies, bibliographies, and exhibition lists for each photographer, and also documents technical information on photography and printing procedures. This book can be said to be the origin of the so-called "New Color." This is the softcover version.
