Looking into the history of photography, the theme of "cities" has been photographed by many photographers since ancient times. Cities and photography have an inseparable and close relationship that continues to this day. Examples include Paris by Eugene Atget (1857-1927), America in the 1930s by Berenice Abbott (1898-1991), Los Angeles in the late 1960s by Ed Ruscha, and Tokyo from the 1960s to the 1980s by Daido Moriyama. As if inheriting this lineage, Takashi Homma has captured the urban Tokyo of the 1990s to 2000s. This is Takashi Homma's first photo book published overseas. It is composed of a new compilation of his representative works such as "Tokyo Suburbia" and "Children of Tokyo". Edited by Taka Kawachi and Lesley A. Martin. At the end of the book, Ivan Vartanian, president of Goliga Books, has contributed an essay.
