Butoh dancer Kazuo Ohno retired from stage performance activities in the late 1960s and 1970s, and devoted himself to film production under the direction of documentary filmmaker Chiaki Nagano. Filmed and produced during this period were a trilogy of "Portrait of Mr. O (1969)", "Mandala of Mr. O", "Mr. O's Book of the Dead". This book is a program and catalog produced for the second movie work collectively known as the so-called "Mr. O Trilogy". The unbound text includes writings by poet Ikuya Kato, butoh dancer Tatsumi Hijikata, portraits of Mr. Ohno, and works by Simon Yotsuya and Josaku Maeda. This is a rare item that has Ohno's own autograph on his portrait.
