Self-published photo book by Julia Borissova, born in Estonia and based in St. Petersburg, Russia. The project focuses on the first wave of Russian immigrants in the 1920s. Combining old photographs of immigrants with flower petals, he destroys and anonymizes the original image of the person in the photograph. Over time, how details are erased from our memory, and each time we recall something from the past, we recall how to replace some parts with new ones and construct another image. I am trying to do the same thing with my photos. Signed.
