This photo book features Hong Kong's Kowloon Walled City, the largest slum in the East and feared as a den of evil. The photographer is Shintaro Nakamura, one of the driving forces behind the ruins boom. The photo book of the same name published in 1996 was in black and white, but this book brings it back to life in color. This book documents the densely populated space, which is unique in the world and can be considered an architecturally valuable ruin, from before its demolition to its demise. In addition, the book includes edited 8mm video footage and is included as a DVD.
