Hong Kong's Kowloon Walled City was called the Oriental Den of Evil and was feared for 100 years. This illustrated book was published three years after its demolition. It was written and produced mainly by members of the "Damdan Group," a group of architectural designers and urban planners, and is mainly composed of photographs and drawings from the perspective of a living space. Kazumi Terasawa's illustration of the walled city from the side is highly informative, and the artistry of the illustrations is captivating.
