Rene Burri, a full member of the international photo agency Magnum Photos, has written about a little-known series of works about the space race and the resulting structure of American global hegemony. The book begins with a text collage of quotes about flight, culture, and human evolution, and continues with photographs taken at NASA and the Pentagon. The photographer's eye captures not only flashy scenes such as the launch of a space shuttle, but also somewhat sad moments such as abandoned remains after experiments and vast fields.
