Pioneer of Swiss Style and the New Graphic Design Movement
This is a collection of works by Richard Paul Lohse (1902-1988), one of the most important artists who systematically and structurally developed graphic design and painting after the Bauhaus. The first half features graphic designs and paintings, while the second half features Japanese translations of texts written by Lohse himself in German. At the time, Lohse was only highly regarded by a small number of designers in Japan, but this book serves as a research text that further explains his importance.
