This is a masterpiece by American snapshot photographer Garry Winogrand (1928-1984). He walked the streets of America, capturing women from various angles with swift, precise timing. These snapshots of women in ordinary everyday scenes do not portray stereotypical images of women, but rather capture confident, free, rebellious, happy, and beautiful women. This was the height of feminism and the sexual revolution, a time when women around the world were powerfully exercising their inner and outer freedoms and experiencing a major shift in consciousness.
