In the 1980s, photographer Ikko Narahara (1931-2020) suffered from a serious illness called nephrotic syndrome. This led him to temporarily step away from photography and live life with his naked eyes, during which time he suddenly began to see the world as circular. This book was published as issue 31 of Nikon Salon Books, which was distributed only to members. It contains only monochrome and color photographs cut into circles. While this volume is less well-known than Narahara's more well-known photobooks, it is nonetheless an interesting attempt in presenting a new way of looking at photography. The opening page features a preface by Tsuneo Enari, then president of the Nikkor Club, and the back page includes texts by Shunji Ito and Narahara. Signed.
