Rintaro Tanaka was born in Yokohama in 1970. He graduated from the Faculty of Commerce, Keio University. At the age of 20, he started writing as the "youngest black music writer in the world". After working for Dentsu for four years, he moved to San Clemente, California in 1998. He continues to contribute to various magazines while traveling the United States all year round with the theme of "deep America". Known worldwide as a leading authority on motorcycle jacket research, he has published numerous books both in Japan and overseas. In 2003 he started Cycleman Books as a "no code" publication. My Freedamn! is a book that has been self-published since 2003, and this is the third issue. The history of sports jackets and a special feature on vintage t-shirts. They are introduced by categories such as flight jackets, racing jackets, and surf jackets. With 10,000 copies published in both English and Japanese, this issue is already out of print and has recorded phenomenal sales. It proves that it is not only a mere fashion catalog, but also an important book in terms of material value that approaches the deep thoughts and history of American culture. Above all, there is no advertisement page, and the thoroughness that Mr. Tanaka himself handles the photos and text, and the fact that the magazine conveys "I am doing what I really like" may be the reason why this series is gaining support.
