This photo book is by the eternal amateur photographer Shoji Ueda (1913-2000). It includes unpublished color and monochrome works, from untitled early works to his masterpiece "Children's Calendar." Color still life photographs are sandwiched between the monochrome photographs on the double page spread, making it feel more like reading a "story" than a monograph. At the end of the book, novelist Toshiyuki Horie has written a short story, which was written with the publisher's permission.
