He has published four photobooks to date, including his highly acclaimed debut work, End Time City (Scalo), which won the Nadar Prize in 1999. This book includes previously unpublished works and reminisces about Ackerman's past and future worlds. The text, written by the artist's close friend Jem Cohen, tells the reader about the artist's personality.
