Modulor is a harmonious scale that Le Corbusier (1887-1965) invented and systematized, applicable to all architecture and machinery. It is a coined word that combines the dimension "Modur" and the golden ratio "Section d'or." This book is a sequel to the Japanese version based on the first edition published in France in 1948. The original was published in 1955. The translation was done by Takamasa Yoshizaka (1917-1980), who worked in Le Corbusier's atelier, as with the previous work. The cover design also makes use of the original, while maintaining the same layout with a natural Japanese font.
