While the number of photographers using large-format cameras has drastically decreased, Kozo Miyoshi began using an 8x10 large-format camera in 1981, and has since expanded his photographic format to an extra-large 16x20. This book, themed around his childlike, innocent gaze, is a photobook that encompasses his work over more than 60 years and reorganizes several series. The photographs are such that they make you realize that even as times change, monochrome photography still has a profound charm. The hybrid hardcover binding of cloth and paper gives it the feel of a foreign book, but the publisher is Cairo Apartment, a Japanese duo consisting of designer Seiko Morikawa and artist Jun Iwasaki.
