A print collection featuring 187 varieties of Japanese maple leaves, rendered via multi-colored woodblock printing by the Japanese-style painter Kubota Kinsen (1875–1954). It was published in 1911 (Meiji 44). Each leaf is labeled with a name—such as "Hatsushigure" (First Winter Shower), "Shishigashira" (Lion's Head), and "Mangetsu" (Full Moon). This is a work of fine craftsmanship that evokes the unique atmosphere of Japan's autumn foliage season.
