This is a photobook of the legendary Hong Kong photographer Fan Ho (1931-2016). It is the second volume in a trilogy published by Modernbook Editions, a gallery on the West Coast of the United States. It contains photographs taken in Hong Kong in the 1950s and 60s. After being given a camera by his father in 1945, he became a photographer and won 283 awards during his lifetime. His overwhelming compositional skills, his capture of light and shadow, and his intuition as a street photographer are truly remarkable. In addition, the historical context of the time, including the subjects and architecture, supports the beauty and uniqueness of his photographs. 4th edition.
